Spring has arrived, and it's time to give your front porch a fresh new look.
Whether you're looking to create a welcoming entrance for your guests or just want to add some color and texture to your outdoor space, there are plenty of ways to spruce up your front porch for the season. Here are some tips for decorating your front porch for spring, including using a Nickel Designs Doormat and layering a rug.
Start with a clean slate.
Before you begin decorating, make sure your front porch is clean and free of clutter. Sweep away any dirt and debris, and consider power-washing the floor and walls if they need it.
Choose a color scheme.
Spring is all about bright, cheerful colors, so choose a color scheme that reflects the season. Consider using pastels, bright greens, yellows, and pinks to create a cohesive look. This spring, I'm using black, white and a pop of yellow!
Add plants and flowers.
Nothing says spring like fresh (or faux) flowers and greenery. Add some potted plants or hanging baskets to your front porch to add some color and texture. You can also consider adding a small herb garden or a succulent arrangement to your outdoor space. Here are a few of my favorite tried and true faux greenery pieces from Amazon!
Add a fresh Nickel Designs Doormat.
A doormat is a functional and stylish addition to any front porch, and a Nickel Designs Doormat is a great option for spring. Our spring doormats feature fun and festive designs that will add a pop of color and personality to your outdoor space. This year, I'm using a daisy doormat for spring!
Layer a rug underneath the doormat.
For an extra touch of style and comfort, consider layering a rug underneath your doormat. A patterned or textured rug can add some depth and dimension to your front porch, and can also help to fill the space on larger porches. I'm using our extra large striped layering rug and our yellow layering rug this spring.
By following these simple tips, you can create a beautiful and inviting front porch that's perfect for enjoying the spring weather. Whether you're hosting a garden party or just relaxing with a good book, your front porch is sure to be a cozy and stylish space that you'll love spending time in.
